Something New

“Change doesn’t always have to be drastic to be effective ”
While it’s a month later, I just want to start by saying, “Happy New Year Everyone!” I started this year reflective. 2024 was a year of transition for me; professionally and personally - and while navigating that as gracefully as I could, I felt that there was a lot to unpack and a lot to learn from. It’s difficult to know how much to share on this platform, but with time, and wisdom, I hope to use my evaluated experiences as a building ground for growth. With that being said, I also have entered this new year with a lot of hope and expectation. You’ve heard it said, “New year, New me,” I would say, “New year, evolved me, enlightened mindset.”
I missed styling so much! I am so glad to be back in my creative space! I have been going through a transition period with my style, so lately, I have been slowly changing my closet. I say slowly as I have realized in this process that I am quite picky with what I wear. I like to invest in items that are versatile in the way they can be worn. I’ve been in the search for something new and unique. I found this set randomly and loved it! One thing I love about clothes that come in sets is that it doesn’t take much to look good; I want to keep the whole look neutral. Although looking back, it could do it with a pop of color! While there were minimal accessories in this look, as I wore this to a picnic on the beach, the star of the show was the bag! I love these uniquely constructed bags/clutches. There are what people would call a “statement piece.” Given the venue, I kept my shoes simple. However, I think this look could be paired with white sneakers or a simple pair of white heels.
Thank you so much for reading! Don’t forget to let me know your thoughts on this look! I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start!
Until next time,
