"Do difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step" ~Lao Tzu

Hey guys and welcome to a new segment in my blog. I realize that ever since I started this blog, I never really explained why I decided to start one. To be honest, this is probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. I personally didn't feel like a good enough writer, or that anyone would be remotely interested in reading or hearing what I had to say. So now is a good time as any to let you know why this blog was born.

I had the idea when I was 18, but I didn't actively pursue it until I turned 19. As soon as I turned 19 last year, a lot changed. I can't really explain how or what exactly changed but everything did. I was questioning the foundation of my believes and my life felt like it was crumbling around me. Up on till then, I thought I had the answers and I knew where my life was heading, but I was so wrong. That's when thoughts on starting on blog began again.

This blog was started from the perspective of a 19 year old Nigerian-Canadian christian girl who is transitioning from being a girl to a woman. My vision for this blog was to watch myself grow. To learn, evolve and share my passion with others in hopes that they relate, learn, and gain inspiration as I do from them as well. That's what this segment of my blog is about. #NoFilter is basically where I'm 100% honest with you guys. This is where I talk about issues that a lot of people my age can relate to and how to move pass those issue.

DISCLAIMER: the things that are said on this segment, depending on who you are and the tone you perceive what I am saying, might offend you. My answers to some issues may or may not be what you agree with and I promise to respect your opinion in hopes that you respect mine as well. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to live their life but I will talk about how I live mine.

I am excited and nervous to release this part of my blog, but I do hope that y'all enjoy reading and please comment below because I would love to know what you think.

xoxo,

IdyC.
