Recognize that the disappointments in your life were there to produce a stronger, wiser, more disciplined version of you. Your life may not have been ideal, but strength is not produced in comfort. ~Sarah Jakes Roberts~

"Button up your shirt." I still remember my mother saying this to me around the age that I learnt that a top doesn't have to be buttoned up to your neck for it to be worn properly. I don't know if anyone has had their parents comment on the way you chose to wear your clothes, but on the off chance that you have, then you know that as soon as you walked out of the house your first move was to unbutton, untuck, and untie. The irony that 10 years later, I fall in love with that "buttoned-up-look".

I have said this once and I will say it again, the best combinations that I have found myself come up with are the ones that have happened by accident. Although it's "summertime" in Saskatoon, these past few weeks has resembled spring. A lot of raining and a lot less sunshine. No complaints at all since I do love it when it rains, especially at night time. I wanted this to be a casual look since I was headed to the library that day(yes people I'm aware that I still don't have a life, but hey, you can never have too much knowledge!) Somewhere along the line of dressing up, I forgot I was going for "causal" and decided to add heeled booties. What? I was feeling cute that day! Moments like this don't come around often and when it does, it's always best to go all out!

Until next time,
