Hello, stranger! How have you been? I am so glad you have decided to tune in to my little corner!
Can I just start by saying that it took me 3 weeks to name this blog post? For those of you who appreciated my pun, I salute you! They were really bad ones, like “Orange you glad I wore a jumpsuit?” Cue the crickets…
Anyway, it’s been way too long guys. I made an executive decision to no longer go on tangents trying to explain my absences from my blog. The truth is, I am always writing, but for the last 3-4 months, I’ve been more focused on listening and learning. I even started reading books, something I hadn’t done consistently since I was a teenager! I think the beauty of knowledge is how you chose to apply it, but you can only apply what you’ve truly taken the time to understand.
Anyway, onto today’s look. I feel like this is self-explanatory, but “my name is Idy and I have an obsession with jumpsuits.” One thing that has changed, is my need to look “chic” or “mature” in my style blog posts. Normally, I would combine a look like this with heels (for the gram). In fact on the day of this shoot, I brought them with me, but lately, I’ve had this strange fascination with sneakers (I blame my friends). Also, I wore this while running errands on the weekend, and sneakers were more suited.
Style tip #1: dress according to the occasion +/- personal preference. I am a firm believer that you can still make “causal” stylish, but that’s just me! Wear what makes you comfortable and confident.
Style tip #2: Accessorize!! Add a pair of earrings, scarf, rings (my go-to), bag, bowtie, etc! It’s not just the clothes, but the whole production!
